At a special evening at the Rencontres d’Arles on 5 July 2018 the theme for the eighth cycle of the Prix Pictet was announced. The new theme is “Hope”. The announcement was made at a ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Prix Pictet, at the Théâtre Antique in Arles. A special retrospective exhibition also opened – chronicling the work of all previous winners of the award.
